Mautai is the name given to China’s most valuable ethnic distilled spirit. Mautai or Maotai is a type of Chinese Baijiu, also called Shaojiu, which is the liquor made from grains. Mautai is named after a place of the same name, located in the Guizhou province in China, where it originated during the Qing era. Mautai is produced by Kweichow Mautai Co. Ltd in China, which is the most valuable liquor brand of the world. The product is known as Kweichow Mautai and is available in 500ml bottles.
