Recipe from White Mausu
Green veggies don’t get the respect they observe. With a little bit of love, they can reach dizzying heights of deliciousness.
They’re so versatile: you can steam ‘em, fry ‘em, BBQ ‘em. Here’s some inspo to elevate your greens from side dishes to main attraction.
Steamed Pak Choi:
Topped with lots of sizzled ginger and a big dollop of Cashew Crunch.
Grilled or Roasted Broccoli
Drizzled with some Black Bean Rãyu and tahini, with a sprinkle of spring onion on top.
The Lazy Cook’s Dinner
A big bowl of bright greens and peas drowning in Peanut Rãyu.
The Ultimate Veggie Stir Fry
Make each veg sing by cooking it to its own special requirements. Let's take cavolo nero, tenderstem broccoli, mushrooms and cabbage.
Chop everything up, plus lots of garlic, chilli and ginger. Matchstick ginger is nice and thin and a good way to get loads of it in.
- Fry the broccoli with the ginger and chilli.
- Fry the mushrooms with the garlic and a few splashes of tamari.
- Fry the cabbage simply with salt and pepper.
- Mix them together to make friends, and enjoy.
We love treating each vegetable differently to let its individual flavour shine. They all have a unique mouthfeel even though they're all dancing on the same plate.
